It's been a while since I posted any updates. Not much really going on. I have three short stories in submission. Still waiting to see what happens there, One flash fiction story in submission. Been editing a few other shorts so I can submit those, but it's such agonizing, dull work I tend to procrastinate. I also have a few more shorts in outline form I need to fill in and flesh out.
Stuff I've been reading:
Read Todd Keisling's newest masterpiece, "When Karen Met Her Mountain", part of his ongoing Ugly Little Things series. What a fantastic novella. Lots of blood and guts, but also a very character rich story. If you aren't familiar with Todd's work, by all means do yourself a favor and check it out.
A full-length novel I thought would last the week, but lasted one sitting because I simply could not put it down, Chris Martinez's "Savant" was an edge-of-my-seat read from start to finish. It was as if Stephen King and Joe Hill got together in a father/son sci-fi thriller.
Neil Gaiman has been my all time favorite author forever. His newest book "The Ocean At The End of The Lane" does not disappoint. It grabs at the heart much in the same way his "Graveyard Book" did a few years ago. A must, must, must read.
Troy Blackford is about to release his newest book "First There Wasn't Then There Was". Feb 28 is the expected release date.
Thats about all thats been going on. Updates will follow when things change.
